Wonderful wildlife safari in Scotland!



Golden eagles soaring high in a secluded glen, osprey fishing over picturesque lochs, crested tits and crossbills flitting amongst caledonian pines, red deer on the hillside, red squirrels in the forests and much more!

You don’t have to travel halfway around the world to watch this wildlife. Go out on a safari to the wildlife hot spots in Scotland. Wildlife hot spots include Beinn Eighe, Loch Garten, Gairloch, Cairngorms, Glen Nant.

Beinn Eighe:

It�s the National Nature Reserve where you can see the range of wildlife and landscapes, including many rare species and habitats. Red deer, golden eagle and the elusive pine marten are among the wildlife species that can be seen here. Also, you�ll find the spectacular range of mosses and liverworts. Open to visitors from April to October.

Loch Garten, Abernethy:

Visitors can see Scottish crossbill, the crested tit and the Ospreys which are birds of prey. CCTV cameras set here give visitors a close-up view of this bird of prey between April and late August. Visitors can go on a boat trip from Gairloch on the north-west coast and see the four species of dolphin, as well as minke whales, basking sharks, common and grey seals and otters. Preferred months to visit this place are from April to October.

Cairngorms:

Rare birds such as the ptarmigan, capercaillie and golden eagle can be seen here. One can spot red squirrels and Scottish hares also. There are numerous deer in these hills, most of them red and you might glimpse a small herd of semi-domesticated reindeer.

Glen Nant:

Here visitors can see old sessile oaks that grow alongside 20 other native species of tree and shrub. The bird’s nest orchid and herb Paris are among the rare plants found here. Scottish wood ants can also be seen.
